“When sun rays crown thy pine-clad hills and summer spreads her hand….” – from Ode to Newfoundland, provincial anthem written by Governor Sir Cavendish Boyle, 1902 –

The province of Newfoundland and Labrador, like many regions of Canada, is known for its rugged beauty and vast stretches of wilderness. These photographs were taken along the western coast of the island of Newfoundland where the Long Range Mountains were formed over 1,200 million years ago. No matter where you drive along this coast you are sure to find hills and awesome ocean vistas. I hope you will enjoy my humble offerings.
