I dislike moving intensely and what with hubby’s health issues and work, it’s going to be challenging. But, we did finally find a place to call home. This time it’s an apartment, which will be a big adjustment and we will have to downsize once again. Purging cherished items can be difficult, but the up side is that there will be less to haul.
The new place looks over a park and there is a walking trail not far from the back of the building. So, at least we will have a nice view. I have to get back to packing, but I am taking a bit of time to myself today. I just wanted to let the people who follow my blog know that we have found something that I think will work for us. I appreciate you all more than you could possibly know. If I could prevail upon your kindness, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as hubby cannot lift or haul anything at all so we will need a lot of help. Yet, God is good and has provided for all our needs thus far. I will trust in the divine. Have a great day and a wonderful week. Until next time – cheers!
I hope it surprises you how much you love your new home.
A few years ago we downsized considerably – had an “estate sale” that got rid of about 2/3 of our possessions, and when it was all over, I felt as though a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I love our little place. It requires much less maintenance, and when something’s lost there’s only so many places it could be. (Before, if something was lost, it was LOST, and could stay lost for years!)
Blessings and good health to you and your hubby.

Thanks so much. I haven’t lived in an apartment building since the early years of our marriage, so it will be different. But the perks of no snow shoveling, cutting grass, or any other maintenance will make up for it I think. And I do like the location so there’s that.

Moving is exhausting even when one wants to move!! I’m happy you will have a view to enjoy!! We lived in apartments for seven years until we moved into the inherited OLD old house. We downsized several times. Now we upsized (not happy about that). Things are friends and sometimes we part ways. Pictures of treasures help to preserve memories.
May you be filled with energy and strength to do what needs doing!! ❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️

Hi Carol glad you and your husband found a place. I like that you knew to take some time for yourself, rather than push yourself too hard. Enjoy!

Thanks so much Esa – I have a lot of packing yet to do, but I am more than half way done so it shouldn’t be too bad to finish up. And thanks for stopping by.

Yes, the older I get the less things matter, as it should have been my whole life. Yet, it is age that gives us wisdom, sometimes. LOL thanks Cindy,

So very good to hear this Carol. Yes I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, as I have been dooing. I know what it is like moving without a hubby able to help and lift etc. It was, like that for me when I moved here. Stay strong. Take time out when you need it, and don’t worry if things don’t get put into place immediately once you have moved. Really rooting for you in this Carol. Much love and light to you. Hugs too ❤️❤️❤️

I’m so glad that you found a place so quickly and with a park view to boot! Combine that with a walking trail… not too shabby. I don’t know about you (or maybe I do? lol 😉 ), but being close to natural beauty be it a park, or trail, or woods, counts for a lot. I’m so happy for you that it turned out that way. Good for you taking some time to take care of you today; you are worth it. I’ve lived in a house and apartments over the years. For me there are pros and cons for both. Anyway, congratulations; you are both still in my thoughts and prayers (and heart). I wish only the best for you on your journey. p.s. Like you, when I just let my worries and concerns go and trust in Creator I always find peace. ❤

Thank you so much, Maureen. I appreciate your support and kind words so much. I prefer to live in a house, but having had this one and the one we lived in prior to this yanked out from under us, so to speak, I don’t want to risk renting another one. At least with an apartment I know I will live there until or unless we choose to leave it. I am glad it has a nice view and walking/biking trails nearby. It will make it easier to adjust. Wishing you many, many blessings my friends. And thanks again.

You are welcome. Tell me… are AOC replies doubling?

Not that I’ve noticed, but some of my replies and comments seem to be. Weird.

A couple of your responses doubled. Last month the same problem occurred. AOC comments quadrupled on another blog. The response was a continual thank you, … thank you. Ho hum! 😟

Well, I guess double or quadruple comments are better than none at all 🙂
